Pet Friendly Rooms

Traveling with your 4-legged friends is easy at The Shalimar Resort. We are one of the very few Resorts in the area that accepts Pets. However, we ask you to carefully review the following pet policy. In order to accommodate our guests not traveling with pets, we have incorporated some general restrictions for pet etiquette.

  • One well behaved family pet per room is welcome at $75.00 per stay for each of our “Pet Friendly rooms”.
  • Pet owners agree, if you need to leave the premises of the Resort with your pet unattended in the room, the pet must be in a crate or pet carrier while you are gone. There is a fee of $150.00 for leaving a pet unattended/uncrated.
  • Pets are not permitted in any of the public areas or at the pool at any time during their stay.
  • Pets must always be on a leash or in a cage while they are arriving or departing the resort.
  • Pet owner will be fully responsible for any injuries to Resort employees or other Resort guests caused by their pets. Pet owners accept full responsibility for any and all liability, claims, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) for personal injury or property damage that may result from the pet. Pet owner agrees to make reimbursement for such damages on demand.
  • Pet owner will be responsible for the repair of/or replacement of any items stained or damaged by their pets. This will be charged directly to their room. If extensive cleaning or damage repair is necessary beyond the normal deep cleaning process, the guest may be charged additional fees.
  • Guests who choose not to register their pet and occupy a non-pet friendly room will be charged an automatic $250.00 cleaning fee.
  • Guests must walk their pets in designated walk area and are responsible for picking up after their pet in and around the Resort at all times or a $150.00 clean up fee will be added to their room account.
  • Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available upon request.
  • Noise/Disruptive Complaints - barking and noise that is disruptive to other guests in the hotel is not acceptable. Upon receipt of two (2) noise or disruptive complaints, the guest may be asked to make alternate arrangements for their pet.
  • Housekeeping Service - The pet must be crated prior to the housekeeping service or other arrangements must be made with hotel management.
  • You will be asked to sign a document outlining your responsibilities at check in.
